From Glory to Uncertainty… A Shock in Kamara’s Journey

The transfer of Senegalese midfielder Mamadou Lamine Kamara from Moroccan club RS Berkane to English side Stoke City has taken an unexpected turn. Reports from media outlets, including Sport News Africa, indicate that the player could not pass the medical examination recently conducted in England, putting the future of the deal at risk during the current summer transfer window.

According to the same sources, the transfer is currently in limbo, with no official announcement expected in the near future, despite ongoing negotiations between the two parties as efforts continue to find a suitable resolution to complete the deal.

RS Berkane had reached a preliminary agreement with Stoke City’s management, which plays in the Championship (the second tier of English football), for Kamara’s transfer during the summer transfer period, following serious negotiations between the two sides. The player has expressed his desire to pursue a professional career in Europe, prompting the Moroccan club to show flexibility in the negotiations.

The financial offer from the English club was attractive, as confirmed by the same sources, leading the “Orange” management to show initial approval for the sale of the player, in appreciation of his contributions since joining the team in the summer of 2021 from the “Dar es Salaam” Academy in Senegal.

Throughout his time with RS Berkane, Kamara has managed to establish himself as a key player, participating in 104 matches across various competitions and contributing to several domestic and continental titles, making him one of the standout midfielders in the national league.

The fate of the transfer remains uncertain until the player’s medical situation is resolved or a new agreement is reached between the two clubs, taking the recent developments into account.
