France Leads in Imports of Moroccan Jewelry as Sector Exports Reach 3.1 Million Dirhams

The Moroccan jewelry and adornment industry continues to establish its growing presence in global markets by blending cultural authenticity with artistic innovation. Recent data from Dar Al-Sinaa has revealed a significant annual increase in the sector’s exports from 2019 to 2024, with an average growth rate of approximately 30% per year.

The value of these exports is estimated to reach around 3.1 million dirhams in 2024, reflecting a vibrant dynamism in this traditional activity.

France topped the list of countries importing Moroccan jewelry, followed by Austria, Switzerland, and the United States. The remaining exports were distributed across various European, Asian, and American nations, confirming the diversity of receiving markets and the broad global reach of Moroccan products.

The digital presence of Moroccan jewelry has also seen notable growth. The report recorded over 11,000 appearances of Moroccan jewelry across digital platforms, with Instagram accounting for more than 50% of interactions, highlighting the effectiveness of visual imagery in attracting attention and enhancing the Moroccan brand.

Customers have expressed high satisfaction with Moroccan jewelry, with positive reviews exceeding 96%. The overall rating reached 4.9 out of 5, indicating the quality of designs and the professionalism of sellers regarding service details and delivery speed.

Moroccan artisans, particularly from the cities of Tiznit and Marrakech, contributed over 56% of the digital content related to traditional jewelry, significantly benefiting from e-commerce tools to promote their creations. Their work prominently features Amazigh characteristics while incorporating modern touches that give the designs a bold and elegant flair.

The report also highlighted the emergence of new artistic trends within this field, including the use of local cultural symbols and personalized designs, alongside artistic techniques that involve layering, undulation, and unconventional arrangements in earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. This underscores the innovative vitality and spirit of renewal that characterize Moroccan jewelry on the global stage.
