With profound sorrow and grief, the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces announced today the crash of a training aircraft of the “AlphaJet” type this morning at 8:48 AM, near Fes-Sais Airport. This tragic incident resulted in the death of two valiant officers, one of the rank of Major and the other of Captain, who were fulfilling their national duty during a training mission under still unclear circumstances.
This heavy loss reminds us of the sacrifices made by our heroic sons in the Royal Air Force, who diligently train the new generations of pilots, safeguarding the security of our skies and the sovereignty of our beloved nation. We can only express our pride and gratitude for the tremendous efforts these fallen officers made in service to the country, and we pray that God grants them mercy and provides their families with patience and solace.
In these difficult moments, the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces reaffirms its commitment to conducting a thorough and urgent investigation to uncover the details surrounding this painful incident, striving hard to determine the causes that led to this significant loss, in order to ensure the safety of our children, who carry the flag of the nation in its skies.
May God have mercy on the martyrs of duty and elevate the standing of the Royal Armed Forces, which spares no effort in protecting the land and sky.
