Danone Joins CAF as Official Partner for Africa Cup of Nations 2025

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and Danone have signed a partnership agreement in Casablanca, making Danone the official partner for the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, and the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations for Women Morocco 2024.

This agreement aims to promote awareness of the benefits of proper nutrition and sports practice, especially among children and youth, through an approach that integrates health, education, and sports.

The deal was signed by Danone General Manager Antoine de Saint-Affrique and CAF Secretary General Veron Mosengo-Omba, in the presence of several football officials and nutrition experts.

De Saint-Affrique stated that this partnership embodies Danone’s philosophy of linking nutrition and sports for a healthier life, emphasizing the company’s commitment to providing nutritious dairy products for over 10,000 volunteers and 5,000 journalists involved in the tournament. These products will be available in stadiums and fan zones, aiming to make healthy nutrition an integral part of the sports experience.

He also noted that this step is part of Danone’s strategy to support African youth through educational and sports programs, adding that the partnership represents the beginning of a broader alliance that connects sports and nutrition to improve the lives of individuals on the continent. Mosengo-Omba expressed pride in this agreement, which reflects a strong trust in CAF’s operations and its development of African football, pointing out that the partnership with Danone extends beyond the sporting aspect to enhance concepts of health and investment in people.

The partnership seeks to support CAF’s African Schools Program, which includes over 1.9 million children in 48 countries, focusing on school competitions, capacity building, and community impact. Danone will contribute to enhancing the educational aspect of the program through educational content that combines healthy nutrition and regular physical activity, extending the legacy of the Danone Nations Cup.

Danone is among the world’s leading food companies, employing over 90,000 people and distributing its products in 120 countries, achieving sales exceeding €27.4 billion in 2024. The company is committed to creating a positive impact on environmental, social, and nutritional levels, and aims to regain growth and enhance competitiveness through its “Renew” strategy.

In Morocco, Centrale Danone operates within a network of 60,000 partner farmers, four factories, and over 75,000 sales points, aiming to provide healthy food products to a wide range of Moroccan society.
