Countries in Africa Adopt the Moroccan Experience in Reintegration of Extremist Prisoners

The General Directorate of Prison Administration in Senegal has issued a statement regarding the participation of several Senegalese officials in a training course organized by the General Delegation of Prison Administration in the city of Tiflet.

Three officials from Senegal, along with others from Ghana, Benin, and Nigeria, participated in this training course, which provided an opportunity for officials from these countries to benefit from Morocco’s experience in managing the files of prisoners related to extremism and terrorism. The course equipped them with a deep understanding of the concept of extremism and methods to combat it, while also highlighting the role of training prison staff in this area to acquire the skills necessary for dealing with this specific type of inmate.

This course, organized by the General Delegation of Prison Administration and Reintegration in partnership with the INL Office, is part of the cooperation among Southern countries in the field of prison management, as well as the desire of these participating countries to address all cross-border security threats.
