Energy Transition Minister Leila Benali opened the third summer university of the ministry in Marrakech on Saturday, July 12, 2025, under the theme “Our Mental Health and Well-Being.” The two-day event saw participation from ministry staff and representatives of its affiliated institutions.

In her opening speech, Benali emphasized that this ministerial event is not merely technical but represents a significant human moment aimed at restoring value to the human element within the administration. This involves focusing on mental health and workplace well-being as essential pillars for achieving effectiveness, sustainability, and commitment.

She stressed that “employee well-being is what empowers them to face external challenges,” adding that an effective public administration today is one that places people at the center of its operations by adopting approaches that integrate professional performance with psychological balance.

The minister expressed pride in what she described as a “development of collective awareness” within the ministry, noting the broad engagement of staff in such initiatives, which reflects a genuine desire to build a citizen-centric, equitable, and modern administration.

This year’s program includes interactive workshops and open discussions on mental health and working conditions. The opening session featured comedian Yassar Lamghari, contributing to motivational segments. Additionally, several female employees, including secretaries and administrative assistants, were honored in a symbolic gesture of recognition and gratitude.

This initiative aligns with a strategy launched by the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development to enhance its human capital and improve the work environment, supporting Morocco’s leadership in sustainability and energy sovereignty.
