Moroccan international Zakaria Wahdi, a player for Genk, is close to embarking on a new experience outside the Belgian league, amid increasing interest in his services during the ongoing summer transfer window.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the player has reached an agreement with German club VfL Wolfsburg for a transfer that includes a four-year contract, with an option for a fifth year.
The same source indicated that the German club plans to submit a $9 million offer to Genk’s management in the coming days to finalize the Moroccan player’s transfer.
It’s worth noting that the 23-year-old Wahdi had an impressive season with Genk, scoring six goals in the league and providing two assists, which earned him a spot in the ideal lineup for the 2024-2025 season in the Belgian league.
