Royal Initiative to Strengthen Solidarity: Launch of 13 New Social Centers to Serve Vulnerable Groups

In a royal directive from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, an immediate operation has been launched to activate several social, health, and training centers recently established by the foundation. This initiative aims to support underprivileged populations and provide them with essential services in health, disability, and vocational training.

The foundation clarified in an official statement that this includes 13 new centers distributed across 8 provinces and regions in the kingdom, as part of structured programs designed to enhance access to essential healthcare, improve support for people with disabilities, and provide new opportunities for vocational training and socio-professional integration for youth.

These centers fall under three main programs:

  • "Primary Health Care Centers – Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity"
  • "Mohammed VI National Center for the Disabled"
  • "National Program to Combat Addiction Behaviors."

In this context, a primary healthcare center will open in Salé, with an investment of 85.5 million dirhams, reinforcing the network of healthcare centers that now includes six units out of a planned twelve nationwide.

In the field of disability, a new regional branch of the Mohammed VI National Center for the Disabled will be activated in Beni Mellal, with a budget of 30 million dirhams, increasing the number of centers in the network to nine across the kingdom.

The city of Al Hoceima will also bolster its health infrastructure with a dialysis center costing 10 million dirhams, aimed at enhancing care for kidney patients and complementing the services of the nearby Mohammed VI Hospital.

Regarding the fight against addiction behaviors, three new centers will be opened in Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, and Beni Mellal, with total investments reaching 17.5 million dirhams, bringing the number of centers in this program to 18 across 15 cities.

Additionally, six vocational training institutions will be inaugurated in various fields aligned with labor market demands, including:

  • A metalworking center in Tit Melil (94 million dirhams)
  • An agriculture center in Souk Larbaa (34 million dirhams)
  • An electrical and electronics center in Sidi Othman (32.5 million dirhams)
