A high-level Saudi delegation strengthens economic cooperation with Morocco and explores joint investment opportunities

A high-ranking delegation from the Saudi Chamber of Commerce, led by Hassan bin Mujahed Al-Huwazi, visited the Moroccan capital Rabat in a bid to enhance economic relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The visit included a series of meetings with Moroccan officials to explore the prospects for bilateral cooperation, expand trade exchanges, and develop joint investment projects.

Riyad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, welcomed the Saudi delegation, emphasizing the need to increase the volume of trade to reflect the strong fraternal ties between the two countries. Additionally, Ahmed Abourawi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, presented an overview of Morocco’s vast potentials in the agricultural and marine sectors, opening the door for promising partnerships in production and export.

The Saudi delegation discussed with Karim Zidane, Minister Delegate for Investment, Morocco’s government policies that encourage investment, as well as ways to implement joint projects with added value. In this context, Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, outlined Morocco’s strategy in the field of renewable energy, stressing the importance of cooperation with Saudi Arabia in this vital sector through the exchange of expertise and the implementation of sustainable projects.

This visit reflects the shared vision between the two kingdoms to enhance economic integration and is part of Saudi Arabia’s strategy to expand its network of regional and international partnerships. It signifies a renewed dynamism towards a partnership based on mutual interests and promising investment opportunities.
