On Monday, the first store in a new chain dedicated to marketing products of Wydad Casablanca was opened, coinciding with the team’s preparations for the Club World Cup set to kick off next Saturday in the United States.
According to spokesperson Mohamed Talal, this initiative aims to enhance the availability of official sports merchandise, particularly for the three-time African champion, on a wide and accessible scale, especially given its large fan base in Casablanca and beyond, even outside the country.
The opening coincided with Wydad’s signing of a contract with an Italian company specialized in sportswear, receiving positive feedback from fans who have repeatedly criticized the team’s marketing strategy despite its historic value, substantial achievements, and broad supporter base.
