The observatory noted in a document on tourism statistics for Morocco for February 2025 that this growth is attributed to a 6 percent rise in domestic tourism and a 20 percent increase in international tourism.

Additionally, the same source highlighted that, by destination, the following regions recorded positive results compared to February 2024, with Al Haouz leading the list with an increase of 37 percent, followed by Fes at 29 percent, Tangier at 28 percent, Casablanca at 25 percent, Essaouira at 22 percent, Agadir at 15 percent, and Marrakech at 9 percent.

Regarding foreign currency travel revenues generated by international tourism in Morocco, these amounted to 15.76 billion dirhams in the first two months of 2025, representing a 3 percent increase.

The observatory also reported that by the end of February, the number of tourists arriving through border crossings rose by 24 percent, totaling 2,661,374 individuals compared to the same period last year.
