Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa praised the constant and unwavering support of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Jerusalem Committee, for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people, in Seville on Monday.
In a statement to the press following his discussions with Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch on the sidelines of the fourth international conference on financing development, which was held from June 30 to July 3 in Seville, southern Spain, Mr. Mustafa said, “I would like to reaffirm, on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian people, my gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for his continuous efforts on behalf of the Palestinian people.”
He added that these talks provided an opportunity to convey a message of appreciation and gratitude to the Moroccan government and people for the tireless efforts Morocco has made for the holy city and for the increasing attention the Kingdom is dedicating to the difficult situation in the Gaza Strip.
Mr. Mustafa also emphasized the need to end the suffering of Gaza’s residents to allow for planning a reconstruction phase, while simultaneously asserting the importance of resuming the political process based on a two-state solution to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Moroccan delegation participating in this conference is headed by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and includes, notably, Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah, the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Omar Hilale, and Morocco’s Ambassador to Spain Karima Benyaich.
