The political bureau of the National Rally of Independents held a meeting on the evening of Friday, June 20, 2025, in Agadir, chaired by Aziz Akhannouch. The meeting focused on the political, social, and organizational situation and reviewed national and international developments.
The assembly expressed the party’s pride in the achievements of royal diplomacy, particularly regarding the Moroccan Sahara issue, following the increasing number of countries supporting the autonomy initiative, including the United Kingdom, alongside the United States and France. The political bureau regarded this momentum as a validation of Morocco’s initiative and a step closer to a definitive resolution of the dispute.
Participants also praised the developmental dynamics unfolding in Agadir and the Souss-Massa region, in response to the royal speech of 2019, which called for renewed emphasis on the area. The political bureau highlighted the crucial role of advanced regionalization and the decentralization charter in promoting equity and local democracy.
The party took note of the recent communication tours organized under the slogan “Path of Achievements,” which began in the southern provinces and was deemed an effective means for citizen engagement and support for elected representatives. They commended the participation of community members and party supporters in various meetings held in Dakhla, Laayoune, Guelmim, and Agadir, alongside discussions on developmental issues and local challenges.
On the governmental front, the political bureau commended the social reforms initiated by the government, including the expansion of healthcare coverage, direct support payments, and housing assistance, in addition to reforms in health and education systems and initiatives to address water stress. They expressed satisfaction with measures taken to reshape the national herd, managing this initiative through a professional and organized approach.
The political bureau recognized that the current governmental achievements could not have been realized without harmony among the coalition constituents, which it viewed as a key factor in the successful implementation of public policies, particularly those aimed at strengthening the social state, the national economy, and the Moroccan political model.
On the organizational side, the party praised the work of its parallel bodies and called for greater commitment to values of proximity, seriousness, and attentiveness to citizens, considering these essential components of responsible and fruitful political action.
