King Mohammed VI grants pardon to 1,526 individuals on the occasion of Eid al-Adha
King Mohammed VI has graciously granted his pardon to 1,526 individuals on the occasion of Eid al-Adha 1446 AH / 2025 CE, including prisoners and others who are currently free, convicted by the courts of the Kingdom.
1,305 prisoners included in the pardon
The decision includes:
– 72 prisoners who have been pardoned from the remainder of their sentences.
– 1,229 prisoners who benefited from a reduction in their sentences.
– 4 whose life sentences were commuted to fixed terms.
– 206 beneficiaries who are currently free.
The decision includes:
– 71 who were pardoned from their prison sentences or the remainder of them.
– 6 who were pardoned from incarceration while having their fines maintained.
– 115 pardoned from fines.
– 12 who were pardoned from both imprisonment and fines.
– 2 who were pardoned from fines and the remainder of their imprisonment.
Pardon for individuals convicted of extremism and terrorism
The King included 15 individuals convicted in terrorism-related cases in his pardon, following their declaration of a reformed mindset and adherence to the nation’s principles:
– 5 were pardoned from their sentences of imprisonment and fines.
– 10 had their prison sentences reduced.
