The government is preparing to launch a comprehensive national dialogue on pension system reform.

Nadia Fettah, Minister of Economy and Finance, announced that the government is ready to begin the work of the National Committee for Pension System Reform soon, headed by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch. This statement was made during a session of oral questions in the House of Representatives on Monday.

The minister emphasized that this sensitive matter requires a participatory approach free of political maneuvering, noting that the government has completed all necessary technical studies in consultation with experts and relevant institutions.

Fettah explained that work is ongoing at several levels, including the preparation for the first meeting of the National Committee led by the Prime Minister, activating specialized technical committees to draft proposals, and ensuring broad participation from all stakeholders.

She concluded her statement by affirming that the strategic goal is to build a fair and sustainable pension system that safeguards the rights of retirees and ensures social protection for future generations while maintaining the financial balances of the relevant funds.
