The Eastern Region leads the success rates in the 2025 Baccalaureate with a remarkable leap

The Regional Academy for Education and Training in the Eastern Region announced the results of the unified national Baccalaureate examination for the regular session of 2025, where the region achieved a success rate of 87.60% among students, surpassing other regions by an increase of 1.41 percentage points compared to 2024. This achievement reflects a significant leap in the quality of education and dedication in the region.

A total of 16,505 candidates successfully passed the tests, with a strong presence of female students making up 59.24% of the total successful candidates, highlighting their continued excellence and distinction in academic achievement. Furthermore, 11,046 successful candidates received honors, including 1,186 with the distinction of “Very Good,” indicating a clear sign of the high performance levels among students and the efforts made by educational staff.

In a remarkable achievement showcasing the region’s excellence, student Malak Barkan, from a private institution in Oujda in the physical sciences track with a French option, recorded the highest regional average of 19.59 out of 20, reflecting the high academic standards achieved by students in the Eastern Region.

Achievements also extend to candidates with disabilities, as 56 of them attained their certificates with a success rate of 80%. Additionally, 1,492 independent candidates succeeded with a rate of 38.86%, and 28 prisoners managed to obtain their Baccalaureate, underscoring the inclusivity and integrity of the educational system in the region.

A high attendance rate, reaching 98.09% among regular students and 67.15% among independent candidates, contributed to the success of this session. The academy is preparing for the remedial session, in which 2,446 regular candidates and 2,325 independent candidates will participate, with results expected to be released on July 12.

The academy confirmed in its statement its deep appreciation for the joint efforts of all stakeholders—educational and administrative staff, families, along with local and security authorities, social and media partners—who contributed to ensuring the integrity of the examination and its smooth conduct. It called for continued collective work and the promotion of a spirit of excellence, urging the investment of available energies and competencies to achieve a quality education in the Eastern Region, in line with the 2022-2026 roadmap, wishing success to all in the upcoming remedial session.
