Blood Donation Campaign Promotes Solidarity in Beni Mellal
On Tuesday, June 17, a blood donation campaign launched at the Regional Oncology Center in Ouled Mbarek, jointly organized by the Moroccan Blood Agency in the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region, in collaboration with the "Sand" agricultural cooperative and the "Noor" Association for Cancer Patients, supported by local authorities, in celebration of World Blood Donor Day, under the slogan "Let your blood donation be the best gift for patients on this occasion."
This initiative aims to boost the blood supply in the region and embed the culture of donation as a noble human value that contributes to saving lives and fostering a spirit of solidarity within the community.
Dr. Ayoub Rjwan, the regional head of the Blood Agency, stated that the primary goal of this campaign is to save lives through the donations collected for patients, particularly those suffering from chronic diseases such as cancer.
Mohamed Krabab, the treasurer of the Noor Association, revealed that this campaign aims to gather approximately 100 donations in a single day, in an effort to bridge the gap in blood banks in the area. He considered the significant response to the initiative as evidence of the community’s awareness of the importance of this noble act, and the occasion was marked by heartfelt words from the donors themselves.
