Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef has confirmed that the security situation for this year’s Hajj season was completely stable. The pilgrimage did not witness any incidents that disrupted its sanctity or threatened the safety and security of the pilgrims, thanks to the complete discipline and meticulous monitoring of their conditions, movements, and accommodations.
In a congratulatory message directed to the Saudi leadership on the successful completion of this year’s Hajj, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud explained that the relevant authorities succeeded in implementing plans that aligned with the number of pilgrims this year, which reached 1,673,230. Care and services were provided to them at the highest standards, employing artificial intelligence technologies and developing a specialized technical program for the holy destinations based on Saudi algorithms. Advanced technologies were also used for monitoring and predicting critical areas, which assisted in crowd management and facilitated the guests’ performance of their rituals with ease.
The Saudi Interior Minister added that security personnel and all members of government and community agencies responsible for serving the guests performed their duties with competence and professionalism, enabling the success of all the plans put in place. He noted that the pilgrims completed their rituals safely and peacefully, with their movements and groupings characterized by complete fluidity.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud also indicated that the health conditions were reassuring, with no recorded cases of epidemics or quarantine. He affirmed that preventive efforts, health capacity requirements, and the healthcare services provided to the guests led to a reduction in morbidity and mortality rates, with only a limited number of heat exhaustion cases being reported.
