Rayan Mahtou joins Wydad’s squad in preparation for facing Manchester City in the Club World Cup
Young player Rayan Mahtou joined the Wydad Athletic Club’s delegation yesterday, Sunday, in the United States, as part of the preparations for their participation in the 2025 Club World Cup.
In a statement to the club’s official website, the player expressed his happiness at joining the team, confirming that the ambition is to meet the expectations of the Wydadi fans and to deliver a commendable performance in this international event.
Mahtou, who is 20 years old, plays as a midfielder and is considered one of the promising talents that coach Mohamed Amin Benhashim is counting on to contribute during the club’s third appearance in the global championship.
Wydad continues its preparations at the Landon School in the United States, where they are undergoing intensive training sessions ahead of their first match in Group 7, which includes Manchester City, Juventus, and Al Ain.
