Morocco Opens Its Doors to Tourists from the Gulf, the Middle East, and North Africa with a Digital Campaign Featuring Wego

The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) has launched a new summer promotional campaign in collaboration with Wego, a leading travel and tourism platform in the Middle East and North Africa. This initiative aims to enhance Morocco’s appeal as a preferred destination for travelers from the Gulf and the region, highlighting its rich cultural and natural diversity.

The campaign focuses on showcasing the kingdom’s tourist destinations, starting with the charming blue streets of Chefchaouen, passing through the bright beaches of Agadir, and reaching the stunning mountain trails of the Atlas Mountains. It also includes major cities such as Marrakech, Rabat, and Fes, which blend ancient heritage with modern life.

Cultural experiences hold a prominent place in the campaign, as tourists are encouraged to interact with traditional crafts, attend local festivals, and savor authentic Moroccan cuisine, from street food in the old city markets to fine dining in restaurants with breathtaking views, featuring dishes like couscous and pastilla.

For lovers of tranquility and relaxation, the campaign highlights coastal cities such as Essaouira and El Jadida, where visitors can enjoy ocean views, fresh seafood, and distinctive artistic and cultural atmospheres.

The campaign includes a variety of digital promotional tools, such as online travel guides and visual content produced by social media influencers, making it easier for travelers to make informed decisions and have meaningful experiences in Morocco.

In this context, Mamoun Hamidan, Chief Executive Officer of Wego, stated: “We are delighted to collaborate with the Moroccan National Tourism Office to introduce our users to the richness of the Moroccan experience. Our goal is to facilitate access to unique travel experiences, whether they are adventurous, steeped in history, or focused on relaxation.”

Meanwhile, Rashid Hamzaoui, Director of the Moroccan National Tourism Office for the Middle East and Asia, clarified that this campaign aims to establish Morocco as the “top summer choice” for travelers from various countries in the region. This campaign comes at a time when Morocco seeks to stimulate regional tourism and attract more visitors from the Gulf and the Middle East, benefiting from its unique natural and cultural diversity. This initiative represents an important step toward solidifying Morocco’s position as one of the premier tourist destinations in the Arab world this summer.
