The Wydad Athletic Club has begun its official preparations for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, conducting its first training session on American soil on Wednesday evening.
The training session, led by coach Amin Benhachem, included light exercises in the gym aimed at restoring the players’ physical vitality after a long journey, and preparing them mentally and physically for the tough competition ahead.
It’s worth noting that Wydad has been placed in Group G of the global tournament, alongside European powerhouses Manchester City and Juventus, as well as the Emirati club Al Ain.
The Moroccan team will play its first match of the tournament on June 18, when it faces Manchester City at 5:00 PM Moroccan time, in a game where Wydad aims to prove its capabilities against one of the world’s strongest clubs.
