Iran Threatens Washington with "Severe Consequences"
Tehran has warned Washington on Monday of "serious repercussions" in response to unprecedented U.S. strikes on nuclear sites in the Islamic Republic, as the conflict between Iran and Israel entered its eleventh day.
Ibrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for the Iranian armed forces, stated that "this aggressive act… will expand the legitimate targets of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and pave the way for the escalation of the war in the region."
In a video broadcast by state television, Zolfaghari added that "the fighters of Islam will impose unpredictable severe consequences on you through powerful and targeted operations."
