FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised Morocco for hosting the next five editions of the U-17 Women’s World Cup, beginning with the tournament to be held from October 17 to November 8, 2025, marking a historic first on the continent.
This commendation came via a post Infantino shared on his official Instagram account, coinciding with the draw ceremony for the inaugural edition of the tournament in Morocco.
Infantino wrote: "Morocco, the wonderful country, will host the next five editions of the U-17 Women’s World Cup, starting with the version taking place from October 17 to November 8."
He congratulated all participating teams and wished success to Fouzi Lekjaâ, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and his team in organizing this tournament on African soil for the first time.
Infantino emphasized that Morocco’s hosting of this global sporting event represents a crucial step in developing women’s football and reflects FIFA’s commitment to opening wide avenues for young talent. He added that the kingdom has seen significant progress in this field in recent years, which will further strengthen as it prepares to co-host the 2030 World Cup.
This event serves as international recognition of the dynamism of Moroccan football and as an opportunity to cement the kingdom’s role as a continental and international sports hub that hosts major global football events.
