FIFA Sends Official Correspondence to Wydad About New Developments Related to Club World Cup Matches
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has sent official communications to several clubs participating in the upcoming Club World Cup, including Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club, Egypt’s Al Ahly, Tunisia’s Esperance, and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns. The correspondence includes new organizational guidelines aimed at enhancing the festive atmosphere and unique identity of each club during their matches in the tournament.
FIFA has requested the involved clubs to submit a musical piece that reflects their history and authenticity, which will be played inside the stadium before the kickoff. The clubs are required to deliver the piece on a compact disc (CD) according to specified technical standards.
Additionally, FIFA has instructed each club to select a former legend or current captain to introduce the official lineup to the audience through the stadium’s audio system, a step that will be implemented particularly during the first round of the tournament.
FIFA has also decided to amend the players’ entrance onto the pitch, where they will be introduced individually, facing their opposing team, while the officiating crew will enter last, marking a significant departure from the traditional protocols used in international competitions.
