“FIFA 2025” – Wydad Chooses Landon School in Maryland for Its World Club Championship Camp
The International Football Federation (FIFA) has announced the training camp locations for clubs participating in the inaugural edition of the World Club Championship under its new format, set to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13.
Wydad Athletic Club, representing Moroccan football in this global tournament, has selected the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland, as its training base during the group stage.
This choice is part of a list that includes 32 clubs distributed across 14 American states, where FIFA has made these facilities available for the participating teams throughout the first round of the competition.
Matthias Grafstrom, the general secretary of FIFA, stated that the chosen training sites will provide high-level conditions for the clubs, praising the readiness of local communities to host elite teams and deliver an exceptional organizational and hospitality experience.
Wydad Athletic Club is placed in Group G of the tournament, alongside England’s Manchester City, Italy’s Juventus, and the UAE’s Al Ain, in what is considered one of the toughest groups in this new version of the World Club Championship.
