Drone Gangs Arrested by Security in Saidia: Algerian Detained, Drones and Hashish Seized

In a precise field operation conducted on Friday, national security forces in Saidia dismantled two gangs specializing in international drug smuggling using drones.

The operation resulted in the arrest of three individuals, including an Algerian national who entered the country illegally. The other suspects were caught red-handed during an attempted smuggling operation using drones.

The security action followed intelligence-gathering and field investigations carried out by the regional security forces in Saidia, under the direct supervision of security chief Amr Benmoussa. A well-planned ambush was set up to track the movements of the suspects before their arrest.

Search operations led to the confiscation of three drones, seven batteries, and a Renault Megan car with false plates. Additionally, quantities of hashish were found, along with a sum of money suspected to be from drug trafficking profits.

The detainees have been placed in custody as per the instructions of the public prosecution, pending further investigation to identify other accomplices and uncover the logistical networks facilitating these criminal activities.

This operation highlights the vigilance of security forces and their continuous readiness to confront the sophisticated methods employed by cross-border criminal networks in drug smuggling, particularly through modern aerial means.
