Casablanca is preparing to host the 13th edition of the National Used Book Fair, organized by the Moroccan Pen Club in coordination with the Al-Fida district. This event will take place from June 26 to July 10, 2025, along Modyboukita Street, in front of Ghazali High School, near Darb al-Fuqara.

Under the slogan “Used Books… A Memory That Defies Oblivion,” this edition aims to reinforce the role of used books as a vital tool for preserving collective cultural memory and addressing the risks of forgetfulness and intellectual marginalization that accompany rapid digital transformations.

The fair has become a fixed annual event in the cultural agenda of the economic capital. It serves as an open space for lovers of reading and books, where the economic aspect of providing books at affordable prices aligns with a rich cultural program that includes intellectual and artistic discussions.

This special edition will celebrate prominent figures of Moroccan thought and culture through organized readings and open meetings that highlight national cultural productions, with a particular focus on cultural personalities from the Al-Fida area of Hay Mohammadi, a historical hub of creativity and cultural resistance.

The fair’s program will also keep up with cultural and critical developments by presenting new publications and discussing them in the presence of Moroccan authors and thinkers, further solidifying the fair’s status as a platform for dialogue, exchange of ideas, and openness to diverse intellectual currents.

In this way, the Used Book Fair not only promotes old books but also transforms into a celebration of knowledge and a space for reflection on contemporary issues in thought and culture, at the heart of a city that honors its memory and invests in its literature.
