Three Moroccan players have made the list of the ten most valuable Arab players participating in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, according to the latest update from the player valuation website, Transfermarkt.
Sofiane Rahimi, who plays for Al Ain FC in the UAE, ranks third among Arabs with a market value of €7 million. He is followed by Wydad Casablanca defender Jamal Harqas in ninth place with a market value of €1.4 million, and his teammate Mehdi Ben Abid in tenth place, valued at €1.3 million.
The list is topped by Brazilian star Ruben Neves of Al-Hilal FC in Saudi Arabia, with a market value of €25 million, followed by his teammate Aleksandar Mitrović at €18 million. Egyptian international Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” of Al Ahly SC comes in fourth with a value of €5 million.
Also featured on the list are Brazilian Kaku from Al Ain at €4.5 million, Ahmed Abdelkader “Wissam Abou Ali” from Al Ahly at €4 million, and Ahmed Mostafa “Zizou” at €3.5 million. Tunisian Yan Sassi from Espérance de Tunis rounds out the selection with a market value of €1.8 million.
This year’s edition of the FIFA Club World Cup features 32 teams from various continents, including five Arab teams, reflecting the increasing presence and market value of Arab players on the global football stage.
