Africa Launches Third Edition of the “1,000 Ideas” Program to Support Young Entrepreneurs

Africa has launched the third edition of the “1,000 Ideas” program aimed at supporting project owners during the annual FikraShowcase1000 event held in Casablanca. The program seeks to enhance innovation and economic initiative among Moroccan youth by connecting them with local and international economic stakeholders and experts in an interactive space that offers learning and networking opportunities.

The event announced the objectives of the new edition of the program, which aims to accompany a new generation of youth in turning their ideas into viable projects, as well as showcasing the results from previous editions since the program’s inception in 2019.

The event featured discussion sessions addressing the challenges of transitioning from idea to funding, strategies for acquiring the first customer without a large budget, and the role of artificial intelligence in project development. Inspirational testimonies were presented by previous beneficiaries, who shared their experiences and the lessons they learned along their entrepreneurial journeys.

Said El Baghdadi, General Director of the Hydrocarbons and Oils Division at Akwa Group, emphasized that the goal of this initiative is to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship among youth and to provide an organized framework that helps them turn their ideas into sustainable projects. Meanwhile, Khalid Mushtaki, General Director of Africa, stressed that the launch of the third edition reflects the company’s commitment to supporting a dynamic Moroccan ecosystem in the field of economic entrepreneurship and making innovation a true lever for national development.
