A British website: Morocco is a reliable partner for the United Kingdom in security and economy
The British portal Politics.co.uk, specializing in strategic analysis, confirmed that Morocco and Britain have established a strong strategic partnership aimed at achieving tangible results in both security and economic fields.
In an opinion piece authored by Labour MP Fabian Hamilton, the platform emphasized that Morocco asserts itself as a vital and reliable partner for the United Kingdom, at a time when relations between the two countries are witnessing notable development fueled by a realistic political vision.
The article highlighted that this rapprochement follows Britain’s support for the Moroccan autonomy proposal as a practical and viable solution to resolve the conflict over Western Sahara, describing the British decision as an ethical and pragmatic choice for achieving lasting peace in the region.
Hamilton, who leads the UK group within the Inter-Parliamentary Union, noted that this stance places London alongside Morocco’s strategic allies, including the United States, France, and Spain, thereby enhancing the weight of the Moroccan initiative in international forums.
Additionally, the British MP stressed the importance of Morocco’s security role in the region, affirming that the Kingdom is a central partner for Britain in facing threats related to terrorism and human trafficking networks, pointing out that Rabat has proven its ability to provide effective and reliable contributions in this area.
He also indicated that this partnership extends beyond security aspects, incorporating strategic economic dimensions, especially after British Foreign Secretary David Lammy redefined the framework of economic relations between the two countries within a rational vision that considers international shifts and new opportunities.
He explained that this new path could enhance trade exchanges and open new horizons for British and Moroccan businesses, mentioning prospective cooperation projects that encompass vital areas such as infrastructure, in preparation for jointly organizing the 2030 World Cup.
The article emphasized that the current dynamic reflects a political will from both countries to elevate bilateral relations to a comprehensive partnership based on shared interests and aiming for stability and economic integration.
