The fourth annual forum for people with disabilities in Jerusalem praised the efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in supporting all Palestinians in the holy city.
Participants in the forum, organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency this past Sunday in Jerusalem, expressed their gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Jerusalem Committee, for his guidance and oversight of the agency’s activities in Jerusalem.
Mohammed Al-Sayyad, President of the Noor Al-Ain Association for the Blind, conveyed a message of thanks on behalf of the participating associations, emphasizing the crucial support provided to all segments of the Palestinian population in Jerusalem.
In this regard, Al-Sayyad highlighted the importance of the institution’s attention to the disabled community, noting that a fixed portion of the agency’s budget is allocated to support institutions in Jerusalem that work in this field, especially amid the difficult circumstances facing the city.
The forum, held under the slogan “Limitless Abilities, Together We Make a Difference in Jerusalem,” brought together ten specialized associations and several project holders. It served as an opportunity to reaffirm the commitment of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, under the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to support Jerusalem and its residents in all circumstances, embodying the institution’s motto: “With them in times of hardship as in times of prosperity.”
Ismail Al-Ramli, Coordinator of the agency’s programs and projects in Jerusalem, noted that this annual event recognizes the efforts of people with determination and their active role in society. He pointed out that the outstanding innovations of people with determination demonstrate that, if given the opportunity, training, and institutional support, this group can play an essential and effective role in their community, which is true empowerment.
The forum also featured an exhibition of artistic and handicraft products created by people with disabilities, along with a display of digital applications aimed at this community. Attendees had the chance to experience exceptional creative works that showcase hidden talents and distinct artistic abilities.
The event concluded with various artistic performances, including a puppet theater show by a child named Majid Al-Jamal, who is diagnosed with autism and performed under his mother’s guidance.
