The fifth edition of the Parliamentary Journalism Prize… May 31 is the deadline for submissions
The parliament, in both its chambers, has announced that the deadline for nominations for the fifth edition of the Parliamentary Journalism Prize for the year 2025 is May 31.
This award, organized based on a decision by the Bureau of the House of Representatives and the Bureau of the House of Councillors, aims to honor national media professionals who contribute to the development of parliamentary work and its promotion, enhance political participation, and strengthen the state of institutions.
The prize includes several categories, including an honorary award for the career of a journalist interested in parliamentary affairs, an award for printed journalism, an award for electronic journalism, a visual award, an audio award, and a photography award. All national media institutions are invited to participate, including television stations, radio stations, news agencies, print newspapers, and online platforms.
Candidates must be Moroccan citizens holding a press card for the year 2025, and must not have won the award in the previous edition, with the option to apply individually or as part of a team. Media institutions may nominate one of their staff members or a team representing them.
Participation requires submitting nominated works in their original form as published or broadcasted in national media, with these works having been published between January 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025. For electronic journalism, it is required to retain the works on the website where they were published until the results are announced. Nomination files should be submitted in six copies to the registry office of either the House of Representatives or the House of Councillors, or sent via the designated email: [email protected].
The nomination form and the internal regulations of the prize can be downloaded from the official parliament website www.parlement.ma, or from the websites of the House of Representatives www.chambredesrepresentants.ma and the House of Councillors www.chambredesconseillers.ma. The organizing committee has also provided a secretariat to offer clarifications and additional information for those interested in participating.
