The collective leadership of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) has called for a reorganization of internal affairs and a restoration of trust with activists.

During the 30th session of its national council held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, PAM reaffirmed its commitment to placing human welfare at the core of public policies, linking party work to the national and international challenges facing Morocco. The opening remarks from the collective leadership emphasized the founding values of the party, primarily solidarity, proximity to citizens, and a conscious engagement in a comprehensive developmental project led by King Mohammed VI.

The party’s leadership stated that the current phase is critical and fraught with stakes, necessitating collective awareness and genuine political responsibility within the governing majority. They prioritized the issue of Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara, describing it as a significant battle that the country is waging with diplomatic intelligence and economic development. The Green March has transformed into a renewed model through major projects in the southern regions and international dynamics that have resulted in substantial recognitions of Morocco’s sovereignty.

In this context, the collective leadership expressed unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, asserting that the party views it as a national issue on par with Western Sahara, free from any exploitation. The speech noted that defending Palestinian rights is inseparable from the party’s values of solidarity and humanity, referencing a previous visit by party leaders to Jerusalem.

Internally, the speech warned against narrow political calculations and called for transcending them in favor of listening to citizens and addressing their needs. They praised the “Generation 2030” initiative as a platform for engaging youth and activating their participation in public discourse, alongside other programs like the “Youth Visa,” aimed at economically and socially empowering young people.

The leadership also pointed to ongoing hardships faced by citizens despite some achievements, attributing these to the accumulation of previous public policies that did not prioritize human welfare. A simple measurement of this is the delay in implementing alternative sentencing laws, which have been discussed for decades.

The collective leadership stressed that challenges require a real proximity policy, continuous communication with citizens, and the continuation of major projects such as energy transition, digital transformation, judicial reform, and vocational training. They affirmed that the success of government programs can only be achieved through coordinated efforts among ministers, elected officials, and grassroots activists.

On the economic front, they noted that Morocco’s GDP has tripled over 25 years, rising from $45 billion to $150 billion, thanks to infrastructure development and progress in productive sectors. They called for modernizing the economic model with a focus on artificial intelligence, cultural industries, digitization, and the 2030 World Cup as a catalyst for comprehensive development.

Regarding institutional work, the leadership commended the performance of ministers and parliamentarians in both chambers and the active role of national council members in thematic committees. They highlighted the organizational dynamics within the party, especially regional conferences and communication meetings, emphasizing the critical role of women in party discussions, particularly regarding amendments to the family code.

In conclusion, the collective leadership urged the need to preserve achievements and direct party efforts towards the real priorities of citizens, stressing that a future can only be built through a collective commitment to policies that place human welfare at the heart of development, protect dignity, and ensure a decent living for all.
