The General Directorate of National Security celebrated its 69th anniversary with a joyful official ceremony coinciding with the launch of the sixth edition of the Open Days, under the slogan “Proud to Serve an Ancient Nation and a Glorious Throne,” held at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center in El Jadida.

The General Directorate aimed to make this occasion a comprehensive gathering by hosting high-level delegations representing security and intelligence agencies from brotherly and friendly countries, alongside national civilian, military, and economic figures, reflecting the esteemed position of the Moroccan security institution on the international stage.

The ceremony featured honor guards showcasing the readiness of various national security units, including the cavalry squad, trained dog units, and special teams for riot control and explosives, in addition to presenting modern police vehicles equipped with a new visual identity that includes Amazigh language.

One of the highlights of the event was the introduction of the smart patrol “Aman,” which represents a qualitative leap in the use of artificial intelligence in field security work, through visual monitoring and identification of individuals and vehicles using advanced biometric recognition and data reading techniques.

The event concluded with the director general of national security and territorial monitoring, Abdellatif Hammouchi, being honored with the Prince Nayef Arab Security Medal, in recognition of his leading role in enhancing security and stability at the regional level.

The human touch was also evident at the event, as several active and retired police officers were awarded royal medals, acknowledging their distinguished services in ensuring the safety of the nation and its citizens.

The ceremony wrapped up with a spectacular aerial display featuring 600 drones, creating three-dimensional artistic representations symbolizing the Kingdom of Morocco, blending technology with national symbolism, affirming that the Moroccan national security is an institution rooted in history, confidently moving towards a digital and technological future.
