Reports: Alonso is the new coach of Real Madrid

Real Madrid is preparing to close the chapter with Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti after reaching a friendly agreement for his departure, ushering in a new era under the leadership of Xabi Alonso.
Spanish newspaper Marca reported that Alonso will sign a contract extending until June 30, 2028, to oversee the coaching responsibilities of the “Royal” club.
Alonso has decided to bring along his coaching staff upon joining Real Madrid, including Sebas Parilla and fitness coach Alberto Ensinas. Current fitness coach Antonio Pintus is expected to remain in his position, given the respect Alonso has for him, particularly due to their previous collaboration at Real Sociedad.
It’s worth noting that Ancelotti achieved numerous titles with Real Madrid, including three UEFA Champions League titles, two La Liga titles, and three FIFA Club World Cup titles.
