Rabat to Host the Finals of the Largest National eSports Championship in Summer 2025
The Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication has announced the launch of the national qualifiers for the largest eSports competition in Morocco, as part of the second edition of the Morocco Gaming Expo, set to take place from July 2 to 6, 2025, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
The online qualifiers began on April 22 and will run until June 19, allowing players from various regions of the kingdom the opportunity to compete for a place in the in-person finals, which will be held during the exhibition days in the capital.
The competitions will feature global games such as Valorant, Free Fire, EA SPORTS FC 25, and Street Fighter 6, with total cash prizes reaching 500,000 dirhams. This initiative aims to showcase local talents and enhance Morocco’s position on the international eSports stage.
The expo will be open to journalists and influencers on June 28 and 29, providing them with a close-up look at the preparations and a chance to interact with the qualifiers, allowing for insights into the growing dynamics of this sector in Morocco.
The exhibition will also include exhibition booths, conferences, and meetings among professionals to discuss the economic, cultural, and technological challenges associated with the gaming industry and to explore partnership opportunities among various stakeholders in the field.
The first edition of the exhibition recorded over 45,000 visitors and 3,000 participants in the competitions, underscoring its success as a national platform that bridges the passion for eSports with industrial aspirations in this domain.
