The city of Rabat will host the fifth meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution tomorrow, Tuesday, under the theme “Maintaining the Dynamics of the Peace Process: Lessons Learned, Successes, and Prospects.”

This meeting, organized by the Kingdom of Morocco in partnership with the Kingdom of the Netherlands, will see the participation of high-level political officials, special envoys, as well as actors and representatives from international organizations engaged in supporting the two-state solution.

Discussions will focus on various topics, including the impact of peace processes in the Middle East, efforts to support the governance structures of the Palestinian state, and the economic foundations for peace in the region.

The meeting is expected to culminate in the establishment of a platform for projects, initiatives, and achievements that support the prospects for achieving lasting peace in the Middle East, with the aim of formulating practical political recommendations to bolster diplomatic efforts and enhance the favorable conditions for realizing the two-state solution. The outcomes of this meeting will enrich the proceedings of the high-level conference on the two-state solution, scheduled to take place at the United Nations headquarters in New York in June.

It is worth noting that the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, launched during the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2024, serves as a diplomatic platform dedicated to reviving the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. This fifth meeting follows four previous gatherings held in Riyadh, Brussels, Oslo, and Cairo.
