Injuries Distract Rekraki Ahead of Friendly Matches with Tunisia and Benin

The troubles for national coach Walid Rekraki are increasing ahead of announcing the list of players for the Moroccan national team for the upcoming friendly matches against Tunisia and Benin, scheduled for early June.

A new injury has been recorded among the “Atlas Lions,” as right-back Noussair Mazraoui suffered an injury that forced him to leave the field in the 20th minute of his team Manchester United’s match against Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Mazraoui now joins Nayef Aguerd, who is also suffering from an injury, and Brahim Diaz, the Real Madrid star, for whom his club has yet to issue any official statement regarding his health status, raising further doubts about his potential participation with the national team.

The Moroccan national team is preparing to face Tunisia on Friday, June 6, at 9 PM, before taking on Benin on Monday, June 9. Walid Rekraki is expected to announce the squad for these two friendlies the day after tomorrow, amidst growing concerns about the readiness of several key players in the national team.
