The General Treasury of the Kingdom has recorded a notable increase in net customs revenues, reaching 30.84 billion dirhams by the end of April 2025, representing a 10.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The latest monthly bulletin on public finance statistics indicated that these revenues include customs duties, value-added tax on imports, and internal consumption tax on energy products, after accounting for refunds and exemptions totaling 23 million dirhams by the end of April, down from 40 million dirhams the previous year.

Net revenue from customs duties amounted to 30.86 billion dirhams, compared to 28 billion dirhams last year, reflecting an increase of 10.2 percent. The net revenue from customs duties on imports stood at 5.21 billion dirhams, up by 2.3 percent from April 2024.

The net revenue from value-added tax on imports reached 19.18 billion dirhams by the end of April 2025, compared to 17.28 billion dirhams last year, marking an increase of 11 percent. Revenues from energy products experienced a decline of 4 percent, while taxes on other products rose by 14.4 percent.

Regarding the internal consumption tax on energy products, net revenues reached approximately 6.44 billion dirhams, up from 5.58 billion dirhams during the same period last year, achieving a rise of 15.4 percent. These figures include refunds and exemptions totaling 16 million dirhams by the end of April, compared to 28 million dirhams at the end of April 2024. The total revenues from this tax amounted to 6.45 billion dirhams, reflecting an increase of 15.1 percent.
