Establishment of the “Moroccan Academy of Audiovisual, Cinema, and Arts” in Salé to Enhance Culture, Art, and Human Development

The founding meeting of the Association "Moroccan Academy of Audiovisual, Cinema, and Arts" took place on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 4 PM, at the headquarters of the Abir Raqraq Association in Salé. This academy focuses on training, scientific research, and human development through culture and art.

In an atmosphere marked by responsibility and commitment, founding members, including esteemed university professors, artists, and youth, gathered. The meeting opened with the preparatory committee presenting a comprehensive report on its activities, the goals of the association, and its future program.

The agenda included a presentation of the draft bylaws, which were unanimously approved following serious and extensive discussions, reflecting everyone’s determination to establish an effective association contributing to the cultural and artistic fields.

Thereafter, the administrative office of the association was elected, composed of the following members:

  • President: Mr. Abdlatif Nassef Mnasaw
  • Vice President: Ms. Hafida Mdrsi
  • General Secretary: Ms. Israa Tbeich
  • Assistant General Secretary: Ms. Najwa Al-Ghalabi
  • Treasurer: Mr. Hicham Zaaman
  • Assistant Treasurer: Ms. Sara Awali
  • Advisors: Ms. Nouza Abrouq, Ms. Iman Al-Tawil, Ms. Ouimah Zaher

At the conclusion of the general meeting, the association expressed its sincere gratitude to the management of the Abir Raqraq Association, represented by its president and staff, as well as to artist Abde Majid Fanich, for their support and warm welcome, and for providing the association’s space to host this meeting, embodying the spirit of openness and cooperation in serving cultural affairs in Salé and Morocco at large.

The association members also took the opportunity to send a telegram of loyalty and devotion to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, God support him, and a congratulations telegram to Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Hassan, on the occasion of his twenty-second birthday, wishing him continued health and happiness.
