Egypt has renewed its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and its coordination with Rabat regarding the Palestinian issue.

During his visit to Rabat on Wednesday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry reiterated his country’s commitment to the sovereignty of nations and its rejection of any foreign interference or military solutions. He emphasized Cairo’s dedication to fostering development and stability in the region.

Shoukry delivered a written message from President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to King Mohammed VI, expressing Egypt’s desire to deepen its relations with Morocco and expand bilateral cooperation across various fields, particularly in light of escalating regional, continental, and international challenges.

At a press conference held alongside Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, Shoukry highlighted the agreement between Cairo and Rabat on several regional issues, particularly the situation in Palestinian territories. He noted both countries’ refusal of starvation and blockade policies and their call for facilitating the delivery of food and medical aid.

The Egyptian minister praised Morocco’s role in defending Palestinian rights, especially through King Mohammed VI’s presidency of the Al-Quds Committee and support for the Al-Quds Fund, underlining the significance of this role given the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the region.
