Chile Warns of Tsunami After 7.5-Magnitude Earthquake at Sea
On Friday, Chilean authorities called for the evacuation of the coastal areas in the Magallanes region, located in the far south of the country, following a tsunami warning triggered by a 7.5-magnitude earthquake at sea.
President Gabriel Boric stated on his X platform account, "We urge the evacuation of the beach area throughout the Magallanes region," calling on residents to follow the authorities’ recommendations.
