Baccalaureate 2025: 495,395 Candidates Taking the Unified National Exam

The number of candidates sitting for the Unified National Exam for the Baccalaureate—2025 session—reached a total of 495,395, comprising 385,330 school candidates and 110,065 free candidates.

In a statement from the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, it was noted that private school education accounts for 11% of the total candidates. The candidates are distributed across various fields and streams, with 64% in scientific and technical streams, 35% in literary and traditional streams, and 1% in vocational streams.

The ordinary session of the Unified National Exam for obtaining the Baccalaureate for all streams started today and will continue until June 2. The remedial session will take place on July 3, 4, 5, and 7. The results of the ordinary session are set to be announced on June 14, with the remedial session results to be released on July 12, 2025. To ensure the success of this national event, the ministry has mobilized various stakeholders and taken all necessary organizational and logistical measures to conduct the exam under optimal conditions, providing 1,995 exam centers with a total of 29,998 exam rooms.

Moreover, 50,600 exam facilitators and 1,995 observers have been mobilized, along with 43,000 correctors, in addition to preparing 597 subjects for both the ordinary and remedial sessions, including 231 adapted subjects for candidates with disabilities. A ministerial decree regarding the regulations for organizing the Baccalaureate exams has also been issued, and an electronic version of the "Candidate’s Guide" has been made available to enable candidates to familiarize themselves with the legal and organizational aspects, as well as any updates related to this session.

The statement highlighted that this academic year has seen a range of educational and organizational measures aimed at enabling students to acquire essential knowledge and adequately prepare for the exams. It also includes providing psychological support and group preparation sessions for candidates, as well as conducting awareness campaigns in educational institutions to reduce the phenomenon of cheating in exams.

The ministry has continued its efforts to modernize organizational practices related to exam administration, implementing an electronic system for securely coding candidates’ exam papers, which will help reduce the likelihood of material errors in the secure coding process and thus enhance the credibility and reliability of the results.

On this occasion, the Minister of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, Mohamed Saad Berrada, visited the exam center at Abdelkrim El Khattabi Secondary School in Rabat, observing the start of the ordinary session of the Unified National Exam for the Baccalaureate for the year 2025.

According to the source, this visit provided an opportunity to monitor the conduct of these exams, which are held in an atmosphere that ensures the credibility and reliability of the Baccalaureate certificate, supporting mechanisms to guarantee merit and equal opportunities among all candidates.

In this regard, the ministry commends the efforts of teachers and educational and administrative staff in supporting students throughout the academic year and during this important stage. It also appreciates the concern and sacrifices made by parents to provide suitable conditions for their children’s education and support them throughout their academic journey.
