Aziz Ki Becomes Wydad’s First Signing Ahead of FIFA Club World Cup Participation

Wydad Athletic Club has finalized the signing of Burkinabe forward Stéphane Aziz Ki from Young Africans, in preparation for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

According to Express TV’s informed sources, both parties officially signed the transfer contract around midnight on Monday, in a deal where coach Rolani Mokwena played a significant role. The contract is set for two years, demonstrating Wydad’s confidence in the striker’s abilities, marking the first signing for the team as they gear up for upcoming competitions.

Aziz Ki played his last match with Young Africans yesterday, contributing to his team’s 2-0 victory against GKT Tanzania, thus closing his chapter in the Tanzanian league and commencing a new journey with the Moroccan club. He is expected to arrive in Casablanca today at 4 PM, after a flight that started last night and included a stopover in Istanbul.

Wydad had granted their players a week off following the end of the Moroccan football season last week, but the players and coaching staff will return today to begin official preparations for the FIFA Club World Cup. Aziz Ki will join his teammates immediately in training camp, starting his new adventure in the red and white jersey.

Coach Rolani Mokwena expressed his happiness with the completion of the deal, stating, “I am very happy for Aziz Ki. At least, he will participate in the FIFA Club World Cup.”
