A young man with a criminal record was arrested in Meknes for his involvement in violence and threats with a bladed weapon.
The Anti-Gang Unit of the Meknes Police detained the 20-year-old on Wednesday evening, April 30, under suspicion of being involved in an incident related to violence and the possession of a bladed weapon in circumstances that threaten the safety of individuals and property.
The police launched an investigation following a complaint from a person who accused the suspect of subjecting him to violence and threats using the weapon. These criminal acts were the subject of a video posted on social media, which ultimately led to the suspect’s arrest.
The suspect has been placed under provisional detention pending the investigation overseen by the competent public prosecutor’s office. This is to uncover all circumstances, details, and background of the case, as well as to identify all criminal acts attributed to the individual.
