A Pakistani national, aged 37, was apprehended at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca on Tuesday, May 6. He was wanted under an international warrant issued by judicial authorities in the United Arab Emirates.

An investigation showed that he was involved, along with another individual, in impersonating police officers in Dubai. The suspects stopped a vehicle under the pretense of verifying the passengers’ identities and then stole a bag containing cash in euros and UAE dirhams, totaling over €630,000.

The detainee was referred to the competent public prosecutor to initiate extradition proceedings, while the Arabic communication department of the National Police Directorate began the process of notifying their Emirati counterparts about the arrest.

This operation is part of Morocco’s commitment to enhancing international security cooperation, particularly in pursuing those involved in cross-border crimes.
