Experts Highlight Their Strategic Role in Supporting the Football System
The Regional Council of Accounting Experts in Casablanca showcased the growing importance of accountants in the sports ecosystem, particularly in football, during the general assembly held yesterday in Casablanca under the slogan “Governance and Performance: Two Pillars of a Successful Strategy.”
Speakers at the event emphasized that the role of accountants extends beyond technical aspects to providing strategic solutions related to financial management, assisting sports clubs in adopting effective governance and internal oversight systems, legal compliance, and the development of information systems. The accountant is viewed as a key advisor to football clubs, contributing to the establishment of solid foundations for efficient and sustainable management.
Mohamed Salah, Vice President of the Regional Council, pointed out that the interaction between the field of accounting expertise and the sports sector, especially football, is rapidly evolving to reflect the increasing need for professionalism that considers the requirements for transparency and financial and organizational efficiency within clubs.
The meeting also discussed the common dimensions between governance and performance in both fields, highlighting the challenges imposed by leadership dynamics and time management in both the accounting profession and sports work, while stressing the necessity of adhering to strategic rigor and team spirit to achieve institutional success.
This general assembly also served as an opportunity to present the literary and financial reports for the year 2024, review the activities carried out during the past period, and outline the future strategic directions of the Regional Council of Accounting Experts in Casablanca, in the context of continuing to support financial professions and enhance their presence in various vital sectors.
