The Kingdom’s Mediator Institution participates in scientific and communication activities at the 30th International Book and Publishing Fair

The Kingdom’s Mediator Institution announced, in a statement, its participation in the events of the 30th International Book and Publishing Fair, which is set to take place from April 17 to 27 in Rabat, under the slogan “The University and Civil Society: Supporting Pillars of Mediation Culture.”

The institution’s statement indicated that participating in this fair reflects a belief in the pivotal role that university institutions and civil society organizations play in promoting a culture of mediation as a civilizational mechanism for resolving disputes and fostering good relations between the administration and citizens.

The same source noted that the institution aims, through this fruitful interaction, to establish a deeper understanding of the importance of mediation and its role in building a just and equitable society.

The participation is scheduled to commence with an inaugural lecture on the concept of equity, followed by a program comprising three main interactive themes, organized in partnership with academic and civil society actors.

The first theme, “The Kingdom Mediator: A Horizon of Knowledge,” will be held from April 19 to 20 in partnership with the Department of Public Law and Political Science at Akdal Law School. It will address issues of improving public policies and the role of institutional mediation in leading administrative transformation, in addition to exploring the knowledge and academic dimension of the institution’s role and its contribution to enriching scientific research in the fields of public law, political science, and administration.

As for the second theme, which will be organized from April 20 to 21, 2025, it will focus on “The Kingdom Mediator Through the Eyes of Civil Society,” in partnership with the Citizenship Forum. This theme will analyze the roles of mediation in building a state of law and deepening dialogue and consultation on promoting institutional mediation and its integration with social and civil mediation, as well as discussing ways to enhance the supportive environment for the latter to serve citizens and protect their rights.

The third theme (from April 23 to 25) will address “The Mediator and the University,” in partnership with the Research Team in Political and Constitutional Performance and the Research Team in Administrative and Financial Performance at Al-Suwissi Law School, aiming to explore aspects of academic cooperation and integration between the institution and the university, analyze the contribution of scientific research in understanding and developing the institution’s work, along with evaluating the university’s role in enhancing the culture of mediation and raising awareness of its importance in various fields, including administrative phenomena, comparative experiences, mediation and arbitration mechanisms, as well as the role of the institution’s spontaneous initiative and proposal power, and the challenges of its territorial competence in light of advanced regionalization.

It is expected that these themes will feature daily presentations from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by comments from some officials and staff of the Kingdom’s Mediator Institution, to enrich the discussion on practical applications and the institution’s practical experiences.

In this context, the institution is keen to allocate an interactive space for children titled “The Child in the Hospitality of the Kingdom’s Mediator,” aimed at instilling values of citizenship and equity in the hearts of rising generations.

The Kingdom’s Mediator Institution invites all visitors to the fair, including interested parties and researchers, to visit its booth in the joint pavilion (A) and participate in its cultural program activities, which aim to promote mediation culture as a fundamental pillar for building a solid and trust-based relationship between the administration and citizens.
