The National Airports Office: New Departure Area at Marrakech Menara and Agadir Al Massira Airports

The National Airports Office continues to implement its “Airports 2030” strategy by developing the spaces and external entrances of Marrakech Menara and Agadir Al Massira airports.

In a statement, the office explained that these new developments will provide a smoother, clearer, and more comfortable welcoming experience for travelers. This is achieved through the redesign of movement and quick stop areas, the adoption of modern guidance boards to direct travelers efficiently, and the provision of direct access to terminals based on airlines.

It emphasized that the reception areas have been completely reimagined to facilitate arrival and departure processes, enhance service quality, and meet the expectations of both travelers and their companions. Marrakech and Agadir airports receive millions of tourists annually arriving in Morocco by air, serving as key gateways to the country’s main tourist destinations and playing a pivotal role in promoting national tourism.

The same source added that these measures have been implemented thanks to the joint mobilization of the Ministry of Interior, the Directorate of Migration and Border Control, the General Directorate of National Security, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Customs Administration, and the regional authorities of Marrakech and Agadir, as well as the National Airports Office.

By facilitating the initial and final moments of the travel experience, these developments mark a new phase in the National Airports Office’s commitment to “smarter, more connected, and more responsive airports to travelers’ expectations.”

The statement concluded that these transformations are part of the “Airports 2030” strategy, which aims to elevate Moroccan airports to the highest international standards.
