Qnita Club: No Return to Glory Without Transparent Dialogue and Serious Accountability
In the midst of discussions triggered by the recent article regarding the overall situation of Qnita Club, we received a circulated audio response from the club’s president. This response reaffirmed several achievements realized during the past period: from settling a significant portion of the accumulated debts to establishing new facilities for sports rehabilitation and bodybuilding, as well as creating a dedicated restaurant for the club and equipping the stadium with natural grass. Additionally, there was a mention of those labeled as "mediocre."
While we appreciate these efforts and acknowledge the challenges that accompanied the phase of restoring financial and administrative balance, we emphasize that the criticism directed was not aimed at the president or any component of the club. Rather, it arose as part of the natural right of every passionate supporter of Qnita Club to express their aspirations and expectations.
Achieving some financial and logistical gains does not absolve the need to assess technical and administrative performance and enhance fieldwork. This is especially relevant since the club remains a public institution managed by the funds of its members, supporters, and patrons, necessitating ongoing discussions about performance, continuing demands for quality results, improving governance, and expanding participation in decision-making, free from personalizing critiques or emotional reactions.
If the esteemed president has expressed a willingness to step aside for anyone he believes possesses the competence to add value to the club, this democratic spirit is welcome. However, it does not eliminate the institution’s need to instill a culture of constructive criticism as a means to strengthen rather than dismantle institutions.
The fans of Qnita Club, as a part of the social and sports fabric of the city, will not be an obstacle to any serious reform initiative. Their commitment to expressing opinions and providing feedback, no matter how intense it may sometimes be, reflects a deep love for the club, not an intention to disrupt or discourage.
We affirm that the path to true reform does not occur through niceties but through recognizing achievements, diagnosing faults, and expanding dialogue channels with all components of the club, ensuring Qnita Club’s return to the position it deserves, both athletically and organizationally, within the national football system.
